New Car Patrol in Crestview
We’ve spent the last year trying to find a way for residents of Crestview to be able to protect themselves and end this crime spree once and for all. Two things we learned were that the best defense against burglaries are to have an alarm and use it and that sometimes a community by itself is not trained and equipped to protect itself against crime. Members of the Neighborhood Watch worked closely with Senior Lead Officer Rashad Sharif discussing various ways that we could ensure safety of our residents. One of the many avenues we explored —and one ultimately approved by the board—was hiring a car patrol service.
Vernon Rosado of Alexander Protective Services has been protecting area residents and businesses since 1997. His business is located in La Cienega Plaza which makes him very knowledgeable of our neighborhood already and can be here in a matter of moments. Each resident who signs up for this Crestview Service receives: -a sign in your yard—statistics indicate yard signs are the #1 deterrent to a home not being chosen by a burlgar -a private phone number to call if you see anything suspicious—response time 2—3 minutes vs. up to two hours when calling West LA Police Department -peace of mind in knowing that patrol cars are driving throughout Crestview—past your home—four times through out the day and night. The cost per household is $50 a year. That is a savings of $610 if you were to hire Alexander Protective Service individually. In order for Crestview to be able to hire this service, we need at least 72 residents to sign up for $50 a year. Otherwise, we will need to cancel this very valuable service. Sign up today!
